Semiconductor Processing Technician

USCi is currently looking for technicians to support its SiC wafer processing activities. The work will be performed within a cleanroom environment in United Silicon Carbide's Monmouth Junction, NJ location.

Responsibilities:

He or She will:

  • Under general supervision independently perform a wide variety of wafer fabrication operations including: photolithography, wet chemical etching, thin film deposition, dry etching, wafer sawing, visual inspection, wafer level testing etc.
  • Operate a variety of machines including: sputter coaters, e-beam evaporators, oxidation systems, PECVD, ICP, microscopes etc.
  • Update production traveler information and compose work instructions.
  • Assist scientists and engineers with new process/product development.
  • Perform first level of equipment/process troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • High school and/or trade school education or higher.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience is desired.
  • Good hand coordination: must be able to handle small items and wafers with tweezers.
  • Basic knowledge of high vacuum systems, semiconductor fabrication equipment, and wafer processes is desired.
  • Must be able to perform basic calculations and manipulate data in Excel.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to independently work in an ever-changing environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work with all levels of employees.
