Field Applications Engineer / Manager – Power Products

Job Description:

• Responsible for the introduction and validation of new products to customer requirements
• Develop application notes and datasheets for products
• Work with sales teams to drive new business in defined customers
• Design, build and test custom demonstration circuits to customer specifications to support the promotion
• Work closely with HQ on new products

Qualifications:

• Experience with wide bandgap products in the area of Silicon Carbide Schottky Diodes, JFETs, Bipolar Junction Transistors, Power Modules
• Application knowledge in the areas of Power Generation (Solar/Wind), Power Conversion (AC/DC), Electric Vehicles, High temperature Electronics
• Working knowledge of general power applications, DC/DC converters, Magnetics and theories
• Experience with MatLab and similar tools for power modeling
• Practical experience in circuit debugging, control loop simulation, schematic and PCB layout
• Strong technical writing skills
• Self-driven, aggressive, and good sense of business
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, MS or PHD preferred
• > 5 years experience in similar role
• Location is open but prefer NJ / East Coast
